Hi All,
We are just trying to get IEEE Humber College back up and running smooth again after the COVID shutdown.
It has been a trying time for all of us, switching to Online classes and exams, not longer able to meet in person for clubs, contests shut down etc.
We are working hard to resurrect IEEE, picking up the pieces that were dropped when COVID shut everything down.
This coming year we will be:
- Getting Women In Engineering WIE back up
- Hosting Competitions for Design and Programming
- Starting up a “Smart City” project, possibly winning an award for IEEE Humber
- Starting a new “Amateur Radio Club” for students to study for and apply for an Amateur Radio License
- Bringing back the company tours, and member socializing that was popular before
- Study groups and outings like at the end of semesters
- Whatever else we can squeeze into the next semesters
So, I am glad to be the new chair for 2022 to get thing rolling again for all of you.
